I can’t tell you how happy I was to finally stop spending all my money on tampons and pads. I felt like I was buying them every month!
When one of my friends told me about her diva cup, I knew I had to try it, especially if it meant I didn’t have to spend my precious money for stupid biological reasons…I needed to spend that money on cupcakes, cute jeans, and drugs!
But I wanted to make sure I actually liked using it before I got one for myself, so I asked my friend if I could borrow hers. She looked at me in disgust and immediately said no. So, I knew what I had to do.
I knew my friend had just had her period because of how bloated she looked last week, so I figured she wouldn’t need her cup anytime soon. I excused myself to her bathroom one day and slipped her diva cup in my bag…it’s not like I was stealing it, I’d clean and return it for sure!
Next week my Aunt Flo showed up and I got to try out the cup; it worked like a charm! I’m so happy to never have to buy a tampon again! After my period I returned the cup to my friend’s bathroom drawer…she never even noticed it was gone!
And that’s how it’s been for the last six months, sharing diva cups with my friend! Although I can’t see her too often anymore now, for the risk of syncing up with her.
Not only did I stop spending unnecessary money on sanitary napkins or tampons anymore, I didn’t even spend money on a diva cup of my own! Everyone should borrow their friends' cups!
